Prepare for Gestational Carrier Agreement draft and review with Attorney.

Review Gestational Carrier Agreement (both Intended Parents and Gestational Carrier with their attorneys).

All parties to SIGN Gestational Carrier Agreement once reviewed and any changes made. (Please note that all parties must agree on the final Gestational Carrier Agreement draft in order to proceed further).

Gestational Carrier to complete medical screening with fertility clinic

Gestational Carrier to start IVF clinic appointments

Receive IVF calendar schedule for Embryo Transfer process

Start and begin IVF medication protocols

Continue with all IVF clinic appointments

EMBRYO TRANSFER DAY at Intended Parents fertility clinic

Wait period for confirmation of pregnancy (blood draw test)

Pregnancy! A confirming ultrasound in 2 weeks after confirmation pregnancy blood test is done

If Embryo Transfer is NOT successful, we will all regroup together with your Intended Parents, IVF physician and IVF clinic on possible next steps to take.

Once fetal heart beat has been confirmed, you will now be released to an OB-GYN doctor

Ultrasounds Appointments to follow

Therapy Sessions with psychologist throughout your pregnancy

Prepare a Birth Plan with you and your Intended Parents for the big day!

The big day for us all – Labor/Delivery Day

Gestational Carrier Requirements and Qualifications:

Must be between the ages of 21-40 years old (up to age 45 on case by case basis)

Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) no greater than 32

Be a US Citizen

Must pass a criminal background check (you and spouse/partner)

NOT be on state/federal government assistance to include state medical coverage (HI MED-QUEST)

Must have a Valid Form of ID (Driver’s License, State ID, Military ID, Passport)

Live in a Surrogacy Friendly State

Must have given birth to and be raising at least one child

Must have a normal PAP smear done within one year

Had no uncomplicated pregnancies and deliveries

Must experience a full term pregnancy and delivery

Must be able to provide ALL previous and current OB/GYN medical health records, to include ALL pregnancy deliveries

Must provide a clearance letter from your current OB/GYN physician or healthcare provider

No history of psychiatric or clinical mental illness

Currently NOT on any anti-depression medication

Must undergo a psychological evaluation

Able to pass required medical screening: Psychological Evaluation with licensed therapist, Pap smear, Physical exam, Bloodwork: to include the following to check whether you or your partner have infectious diseases, like HIV or hepatitis, etc., Ultrasound, Drug Test, Hysteroscopy:  Only if required by RE, Reproductive Endocrinologist doctor.

Non-smoker

Non-drug user

No criminal history or felony convictions for you or Spouse

Responsible and stable healthy lifestyle

No more than FIVE previous pregnancies

No more than three cesarean deliveries

Emotionally stable

Have no new tattoos or piercings within 12 months of starting the process

No infectious diseases (HIV, Hepatitis B or C, Syphilis, Chronic Immunosuppression).

There are guidelines put into place for all Gestational Carriers. The goal is to minimize risk to any Gestational Carrier. So although some of these requirements may seem very strict, it is for the health, safety and well being of the Gestational Carrier and future child/children that these guidelines are put into place. All Intended parents invest a lot of time, money and energy into their surrogacy journey.  The health of all Gestational Carriers is of very high importance at all times.

Gestational Carrier Compensation Schedule

It takes a special and genuine person to become a Gestational Carrier. We are forever grateful for all that Gestational Carriers do.  For this reason, all Gestational Carriers are compensated during their surrogacy journey. We offer a great compensation benefit package to all Gestational Carriers.

The average base Pre-Birth Support Pregnancy Compensation pay for first-time Gestational Carriers starts at $40,000.00 and up. Your compensation is paid in monthly installments throughout the surrogacy pregnancy (after a fetal heart beat confirmation of pregnancy by a physician).

For many Gestational Carriers, this compensation allows them to move toward a financial goal or help better their own family’s situation.
